Wi Vern Ng (she/her) is a Melbourne-based digital designer with a focus on ux design, brand design and web development in the startup realm.

Hey, I’m Wi-Vern. I’m a Melbourne-based digital designer with a focus on ux design, brand design and web development in the startup realm.

I’m currently freelancing as a UX designer. Before that, I built websites at a marketing agency/photography studio, called Futuretheory and kicked goals with Ida Sports, a start-up committed to championing gender equality by creating high-quality sports footwear for women. Being one of the earliest hires, I was involved in all aspects of the business, from marketing and web development to operations and product design. I watched the company grew from 4 to nearly 20 people.

My creative journey has taken me from Malaysia to Melbourne to Canberra, where I’ve learned to work hands-on with small, tight-knit teams and feel comfortable jumping onto different roles and projects. This has made me hungry to learn and I’ve currently enrolled in a Codecademy front-end development course and a Webflow course.

Outside of work, you can usually find me playing street soccer, organising a mahjong night with my mates, or running/cycling to the next burgeoning sanga shop
