Cult Coffee Party Run Club

Overview

Cult Coffee Party Run Club, a Canberra-based social group, combines running with coffee culture to create a unique "third place" for locals and newcomers alike. Born from a personal branding project, this playful "cult" uses the Yarralumla Parkrun as an initiation, but truly thrives in the post-run coffee sessions, fostering community in Australia's capital.

Nestled in the heart of Australia's capital, the Cult Coffee Party Run Club emerged as an  solution to a unique Canberra challenge: creating a welcoming "third place" for both locals and newcomers in a city known for its transient population. As a personal project, I developed a brand identity that captures our group's inclusive and lighthearted spirit.

The club's name, born from an inside joke, cleverly nods to our semi-ironic devotion to post-run coffee sessions. It's a "cult" where initiation is as simple as joining us for the Yarralumla Parkrun - whether you're running or walking. But the true essence of our community shines in the caffeine-fueled camaraderie that follows.

In a city where government jobs often bring people from across Australia and the world, our club offers a refreshing way to connect, stay active, and indulge in Canberra's thriving café culture. It's more than just a run club; it's a celebration of community, conversation, and of course, coffee.
